Aristocrat’s Reel Power Explained

We get a lot of questions about how Reel Power™ slots work. As part of our Choy Sun Doa Slot Review we did a little section on how Aristocrat’s Reel Power works. I’ve copied the gist of the explanation below:

Aristocrat’s Reel Power category of slots do not have lines but instead ways. The slot machines offer 243 ways to win which is equivalent to a 243 line slot game. Reel Power slot games symbols pays are from left to right with the symbol in any position.

Aristocrat's Reel Power Reels DiagramInstead of purchasing slot lines to play, the player purchases slot reels to play. The player may play from 1 to 5 slot reels. If you are playing less than 5 reels, you also get the middle symbol of the reels not purchased. For example, if you are playing a Reel Power slot machine and you only buy the first slot reel then you are playing all three slot symbols on the first reel and only the middle slot symbols of slot reels 2-5. In the preceding example, you are playing three ‘ways’. What is nice is that you get a multiplier effect as you buy more slot reels, so if two reels are bought you are playing 3 x 3 x 1 x 1 x 1 or 9 ways. A Reel Power slot game is available to play as follows:

  • 1 Slot Reel = 1 Credit = 3 Ways
  • 2 Slot Reels = 3 Credits = 9 Ways
  • 3 Slot Reels = 7 Credits = 27 Ways
  • 4 Slot Reels = 15 Credits = 81 Ways
  • 5 Slot Reels = 25 Credits = 243 Ways
