21 March 2014 – Two US politicians, namely Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Senator, and Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz have announced that they are planning to introduce two new bills to ban online gaming on a federal level. Both actions are believed to have been impacted by Sheldon Adelson and the Las Vegas Sands Corporation. Adelson’s Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling says that they welcome all efforts to restore the interpretation that the Wire Act prohibits online gambling.
