19 May 2014 – The Malta Independent has informed the public recently that the known worldwide banking company will no longer allow for its customers to use their credit cards for gambling purposes. This ban is supposed to be made effective in the first week of June, and its proponents say that it will eliminate the concern with illegal gambling. In fact HSBC has been banning gambling transactions on many occasions for a longer time, but only now the management has decided to finally comment on its intentions. In fact, no press release has been issued.
