Eighteen Operators Bid for Casino Licenses in New York

new-york-state-license-plate-75x463 July 2014 – Eighteen gambling operators have submitted their bids to obtain a casino license in New York. The companies are competing for four casino licenses in three regions, namely Hudson and Catskills Valley, a section around Albany, and an area between Binghamton and Lake Ontario. Some of the companies that have applied include Empire Resorts that submitted a $1 billion bid, Caesars Entertainment that increased their bid to $880 million, Penn National and Cordish Companies that plan to build a $750 million casino, Hard Rock International that submitted a proposal for a $300 million resort and casino.
