Las Vegas Implodes First Casino & Hotel in Seven Years

clarion-hotel-implosion-las-vegas-strip-75x75The Clarion Casino & Hotel in Las Vegas was demolished this week making it the first time in 7 years a land-based property on the Strip has been imploded. The casino has been closed since September. Over the years it has gone through a couple of name changes. It was formerly known as the Debbie Reynolds, Greek Isles and even the Royal Inn. The Clarion was also owned by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The Casino & Hotel opened its doors in 1970 and had 200 rooms. It is not yet known what will be done with the piece of land in the future.
