IGT, a well-known online casino software and game developer, is being sued by the law firm Edelson PC whose client Margo Phillips claims that the software provider and its DoubleDown Casino have illegally made money from many Illinois consumers by offering illegal games of luck. Phillips said that she had lost more than $1,000 worth of chips at this social casino which she couldn’t recover. She wants her money back including some unnamed damages. DoubleDown Casino gives free chips on daily basis to players, but if they lose their free chips and want to continue playing, it allows players to buy more chips with real money.
