Research firm Newzoo conducted a study on social casino activity in the United States which revealed that about a half of the social casino gamers spent money to bet on social games. Players from 17 franchises in the US and Western Europe were taken into consideration and the research showed that 46% spent real cash in the past six months. This is more or less the same as the more general mobile audience and up 10% compared to the same time last year. Furthermore, the social casino with the best monetization conversion rate was Hit it Rich!, according to the research results, while the slot game Bonanza had the most engagement with 7.5% of gamers spending 15 hours or more on it on a weekly basis.
