New RAWA Hearing to Take Place on December 9

A new congressional hearing discussing the Restoration of America’s Wire Act is going to take place on December 9, 2015. Representative Jason Chaffetz, who is pushing the nationwide online gambling ban, titled the hearing A Casino in Every Smart Phone – Law Enforcement Implications. So far there is no witness list or an agenda, but the hearing will take place before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and its 43 members. RAWA’s bill would overturn the decision of the Justice Department in 2011 that ruled against the statement that the Act only applies to sports betting and would outlaw iGaming in the US.
