According to a recent estimate conducted by the American Gaming Association (AGA), people in America will wager $4.2 billion on Super Bowl 50 between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos, which is up 8 percent compared to last year. Moreover, about 97 percent of those bets, or $4.2 billion, are going to be wagered illegally. This stands in stark contrast to the $115 million wagered illegally on the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots last year. The numbers show that the illegal betting market in America is 35 times bigger than the legal one.
