Powerball Jackpot Reaches $1.3 Billion

After the Saturday’s Powerball drawing didn’t award any player with a win, the jackpot of the game hit record high prize of $1.3 billion. This is the biggest return to be ever offered by the USA lottery, whereas the current world record of $2.4 billion is held by the Spanish El Gordo Lottery. This incredibly high jackpot is partly affected by the decision of the US Lottery Officials to increase the numbers on a card to 60; previously there were 59 numbers. This made it easier to win a smaller prize, whereas winning the jackpot remained unchanged – match 5 numbers and the Powerball.
