The UK couple Edwina and David Nylan had won Camelot’s £35 million lottery jackpot but didn’t get a penny because their ticket purchase was unsuccessful due to insufficient funds. On December 23, 2015 the couple used a smart phone app to generate random numbers and tried to buy the £2 lotto ticket. However, they couldn’t buy it because they had only 60p in their account. The ticket actually contained the winning numbers but due to its unsuccessful purchase the couple was left empty handed. “We are shocked, but what can we do,” said the 55 year-old Edwina. The couple is, however, trying to get Camelot to pay out the jackpot despite the app glitch.
