The House of Representatives of Pennsylvania passed a bill on online gambling that allows residents to play online casino games and poker. The bill also allows placement of slot machines at off-track betting locations, as well as airports. The bill also contains provisions on daily fantasy sports. 114 representatives were in favour of the bill, whereas 85 voted against. The controversial provision on video gaming terminals was removed after the previous version of the bill that contained it was rejected by 116 Representatives. Rep. John Payne who is the House Gaming Oversight Chairman said that this is a first step towards allowing Pennsylvanians to engage in interactive gaming.
